Discharge Paperwork

Stolen Valor is real, and the last thing I would want is for someone to think I’m faking my service. Here is my Department of Defense Form 214, also known as a DD214, which shows my “Character of Service” as Honorable (item 24). It also shows my combat “Service in Iraq” from January 19, 2004, to February 21, 2005 (item 18). My rank at discharge as SGT/E-5 (item 4), making me a noncommissioned officer when I separated.

I later got married and changed my name from Logan Mehl-Laituri to Logan Martin Isaac. That is why my married name does not match my DD214.
