iPhone died. Any surprise? Seems to be right in line with my mood for the last twenty-four hours. Nothing to do but journal until I walk back to the hotel, grab my cords, and walk back to call family and friends.
So - just the facts:
After a 6 AM wake-up, we piled into a white suburban and headed out. The Rutba group found the crash site and stopped long enough for footage. Got to the border fine and Shane [Claiborne] asked me how I was doing. I don’t remember how much I told him, but he asked if there were folks I could unpack shit with. I lied that I did.
That’s another story. Once in Jordan, almost got killed when the driver decided to pass without enough space. I recall not giving a shit. There must have been a record downfall, because there was significant flooding. About every mile for some time, we had to slow to a crawl to avoid hydroplaning.
Now its falling in sheets outside the coffee shop. Lightening too. Like the occasional thunder, but hope it doesn’t interfere with my flight home.
Shit, now there’s hail.
